For Students it helps them to understand the rituals of each festival and they develop a liking for the festivals and celebrations.
India, Makar Sankranti, Thai Pongal, Uttarayana, Lohri, and Magh Bihu or Bhogali Bihu in January, Holi in February – North India by Sikh and Hindu communities, the festival involves lighting a holy bonfire, feeding it, offering prayers, dance performances, Vaisakhi in April and Onam in August – September are a few important harvest festivals.
